VIRTUAL TEXTBOOK OF EXTRACORPOREAL TECHNOLOGY
  • The VTECT is a collaborative project involving many individuals around the world. It is based on a few similar and very successful projects existent on the Internet. The VTEC is a peer reviewed electronic source of cardiovascular and perfusion related information. The objective of the VTECT is to make freely available to the international community of perfusionists and other interested professionals, the largest possible collection of educational material to support basic and continuing education, and to help to improve skills and practical performance.
The VTEC project will also differentiates by its peculiar distribution. Copyrights are free and are donated to the international community of perfusionists. The book’s content can be copied, translated into any language, and freely distributed, provided that the original authorship is retained.

  • The VTEC is a large and ambitious project, and by no means it should be a one or two person's job. We need to involve as much professionals as possible, in order to have a broad spectrum of contributions. The easiest and most straightforward way to participate on this open project is to write a chapter. You may choose a chapter among over 60 suggestions that we have listed or, if you prefer, contact us and write on a subject of your choice.
  • Another way to help us on the project is to criticize the content and suggest some additions and/or updatings.
  • If you write a chapter, and you have your own homepage, your chapter can remain posted on your homepage. Otherwise you may choose to freely post your chapter on our site. A central TABLE OF CONTENTS contains links to all chapters of the textbook, regardless of where they are virtually hosted.
  • We encourage and stimulate voluntary adhesion to the project. If you are willing to participate on this project to the benefit of our international perfusion community, do not hesitate:
